Hang Tran
We met in homeroom our freshman year and became fast friends. You were charismatic, confident and a joy to be around. I knew early on that you were fearless, a go-getter and could solve any problem. Before hair straighteners were around, you had me iron your hair on the ironing board before going out. I was hesitant, but you assured me it’d be fine.
So many of my core memories growing up were shared with you from our first homecoming and prom to our first day of college. Celebrating the births of our children. Discussing your dreams of opening Traveler’s Table over brunch to seeing it come to fruition was awe-inspiring. I always admired your strong work ethic, ambition and kindness towards others. Even more so, your dedication as a mother and love for Maya and Max knew no bounds. I love you and will miss you endlessly. I’ll carry you with me in my travels…many of which you inspired.
